Welcome Message from SuDBE2027

       The 14th International Conference on Sustainable Development in the Building and Environment will be held in South Island, New Zealand, from the 17th to the 23st of August 2027. The SuDBE2027 International Conference is to encourage academics, designers and engineers, policy-makers, professionals and research students to share the most up-to-date research outcomes and practical experience in green buildings and low-carbon eco-cities. The SuDBE conference was first launched in Chongqing in 2003 and co-organized by Chongqing University, the University of Cambridge, and the University of Reading. SuDBE2027 will be held at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, co-organized by Chongqing University and the University of Canterbury. This conference aims to gather international scholars to share the newest developments in sustainable and low-carbon green buildings and cities. Climate change is seen as the biggest threat facing the world. The conference will focus on the key theme of sustainability, including solutions to achieve carbon reduction targets and improve living quality in built environments
    We look forward to seeing all of us learn from each other and share knowledge and experiences on sustainable development in built environments. We wish you to take away new innovative ideas and spark new research and implementations in practice.

About the conference



    The series of biennially International Conference on Sustainable Development in Building and Environment (SuDBE) was initiated in 2003 by the National Centre for International Research of Low-carbon Green Buildings at Chongqing University, and it was co-organized by the University of Cambridge and University of Reading. The SuDBE conference mainly focuses on the topics of sustainable design and operation, building energy efficiency, green building, low-carbon technology, ecological cities, renewable energy, thermal comfort, indoor air quality, and so on. We hope it will spark more valuable ideas and explore innovative research through this event.
